Art, Photography and Gifts
Of the Upstate New York and Western Massachusetts Region
Marianne Miles is passionate about her home. Her passion is reflected in her photography and art.
Living in Baldwinsville New York, near Lake Ontario, the Finger Lakes and the Erie Canal, Marianne draws on the wealth of culture, history, and natural beauty of the region, recording it in all its variety.
She grew up in Western Massachusetts and graduated from Smith College. Marianne's love of that area, along with the intimate knowledge that her years there left her with, allow her to also capture the essence of that region.
Marianne has built a huge catalogue of stunning images of both of her home regions, including collections from Cornell University and her alma mater, Smith College. All of her images are available as prints or showcased on any of a wide variety of useful items, suitable for gift-giving or a personal keepsake.
Published Works
Marianne has published two books:
A New Englander Falls In Love With Baldwinsville, NY, and Scenes Along the Mohawk, The First Collection (Canajoharie & Palatine Bridge - Fonda & Fultonville). Both books are photo-essays depicting the region and are available here.
Commissions
Marianne welcomes private commissions, specializing in house and pet portraits.
Aid for Haiti
Long before the recent earthquake made Haiti a cause celebre, Marianne was contributing aid to the people of Haiti. Working with Konpay, an international organization aimed at socially-responsible, locally-driven education and economic development, she has been donating a portion of the proceeds of selected work to help that cause.
